Rocket Day is on schedule for 2 November, starting at High Noon. If you are bringing a rocket to launch, please RSVP to billrademacher@gmail.com

Note: I want to make clear – this is a rocket launching event, not an open picnic for everyone. We’re not feeding a bunch of folks who are only interested in free food. I know that sounds harsh, but it needs to be said. If you have a rocket to launch, come on down.

Wives, girlfriends, significant others, attack helicopters and life partners etc. are welcome, but they usually are bored out of their minds after about an hour. Just being realistic.

Please call me at 270 312-1513 if you have a question or you are unsure of something or need rocket launching supplies etc.

Rocket Day is tentatively scheduled for Saturday November 2nd 2024 starting at noon.

    This is scheduled around all the other events in the area.

    You still have time to order those motors and glue those fins on.

    On Thursday Al and others will be at the field around 10:00 am to spray weed killer in the pit area. If you plan to fly, please be aware they will be moving the flight stand tables out of the pit area temporarily.

    Spraying the weeds has priority Thursday morning, just to be clear.

    Rocket day is approaching. Farmers have begun cutting down the corn that surrounds our property on the northern and western sides.

    I will publish the date as soon as I can confirm the cutting of the nearest corn field, and I will de-conflict it with 9other events.

    Order those rocket motors and glue those fins on!

    Wednesday evening is our monthly splash and trash at Freeman lake. Note that we are making some adjustments listed below:

    1. We will fly from the same pavilion but we will move out to the edge of the main body of water and fly in the larger main part of the lake. If this new flying area is too far for you to walk, think of it as the club’s new fitness program, provided free of charge. You are welcome.

    2. We will use spotters for each pilot flying. This is simply to avoid a catastrophe involving balsa, foam, electricity and human flesh.

    As always, boats and submarines are welcome.  If it is a big boat, or an incredibly fast boat, you need a spotter.

    As always, this is an individual participation event, not a club event. Remote ID compliance is totally on you.

    The recovery dreadnought will be there about 5 PM. Lets get wet!

    Well, another Night-Fly is in the books. Thanks to George and all who brought out food.

    We had a great evening. Some new folks stopped by, and some old folks came out and had some laughs.

    Deserts are welcome. Bring your own drinks. Bring a chair. Use the bathroom before you leave home. Just trust me on this.

    Hey everyone, Night Fly is this Saturday starting at 7:00 pm.

    1. Don’t show up at 6 pm and fly all ten of your batteries in 20 minutes, eat pizza and leave. It’s bad form.
    2. The idea is to fly an airplane brightly illuminated (lit up) into the night sky for everyone to marvel at. Lit up does not mean on fire.
    3. Bring your own drinks and your own chairs.
    4. Pizza will be provided around 7:00 pm.
    5. Find your batteries and inspect your plane BEFORE Saturday.
    6. If you order batteries from Amazon now, they will still get here before Saturday.
